-The discounted submission fees listed above apply to films that are submitted via Withoutabox. The regular submission fees listed above apply to film submission applications and payments sent directly to the Freethought Film Festival Foundation.
-The accepted formats for preview film submissions are DVD-Region 0, Region 1, MiniDV, VHS (NTSC for all afformentioned formats) and .MPG (MPEG, or MPEG2).
-Upon selection, the accepted format for screening at the Freethought Film Festival is DVD: Region 0, Region 1 (DVD is the preferred format) or 35mm, and must be sent to the Freethought Film Festival Foundation no later than two weeks before the scheduled event.
-Film subject matter should reflect freethought concepts by promoting critical thinking, reason, and freedom of inquiry, and be of interest to freethinkers.
-For Non-competitive Feature category, applicant is required to have produced or directed at least two film projects (any) prior to submission.
-For Shorts categories, only one Screener disc per film. Compilations on a single disc will not be considered.
-Length of Shorts: up to 15 minutes
-Length of Features: 70 to 100 minutes
-Still photos from your work are requested if your submission is selected to be screened at the festival. E-mailed stills must be in TIFF or JPEG format and 300 dpi (dots per inch).
-Only one film submission per entry form.
-Entries received after January 15, 2011 will automatically be entered to the next season.
